UFC 129 in Toronto: 42,000 Tickets Sold - Breaks UFC Record

According to TSN.ca:

The mixed martial arts juggernaut enjoyed a record day at
the box office Thursday, selling more than 42,000 tickets -- its entire
original ticket block -- for UFC 129 on April 30 at the Rogers Centre.


"I LOVE CANADA!" UFC president Dana White told The Canadian Press in a text message.


The previous UFC attendance record was UFC 124 in Montreal, which drew 23,152 to the Bell Centre in December. White often refers to Canada as the mecca of mixed martial arts.


On Friday, another pre-sale is set for those who subscribe to the UFC
newsletter. Tom Wright, the UFC's director of Canadian operations would
not detail the possible total number of seats on sale but said 50,000
would be "pushing it."

I hate how popular GSP is, the only guy to get caught with an unfair advantage in the middle of a fight, no wonder mma fans are thought of as dumbass's to some people. GSP's popularity gives mma a bad name........imo

That would be awesome thing if so. UFC 129 was all around epic with an average main event. But the spinning back fist KO after the main event, come'on! A lot of people got to see some good fights, enough to slightly temper the tears of those who just came through for the main event.
