| From Tom DeBlass: I was invited after winning the 2009 North American Trials. This compeition is the Olympics of Submission Grappling, where the top 16 grapplers in the world in each weight battle it out. There were no points scored on this match, and the judges decided to award the match to Cyborg as they thought he was more active. Cyborg went on to take second place. Last year Cyborg won the No-Gi World Black Belt Division and the Abolute division, being crowned the best No-Gi grappler in the world in 2010.
