| Many are quick to discredit Lesnar as being too new to the sport and too short on expertise to be coaching anyone, let alone an entire team of UFC hopefuls. This breakdown of the staff is an attempt to explain why that's not necessarily the case.
Eric Paulson While known more for his submission and catch wrestling, Eric Paulson has been a pioneer of mixed martial arts for several decades. He not only brings a legendary lineage of knowledge, but he also has the patience and experience the young TUF guys can value immensely.
Greg Nelson Greg Nelson is the founder and lead trainer at Minnesota Martial Arts. Nelson has coached notable fighters such as veteran Nick Thompson, former UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk, former WEC number one contender Brock Larson, Bellator Heavyweight Champion Cole Konrad, and most recently UFC lightweight Jacob Volkman.
Marty Morgan Marty Morgan, Lesnar’s head trainer, is a former assistant coach for the University of Minnesota’s wrestling program.
Comprido Rodrigo "Comprido" Medeiros is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under the Romero "Jacaré" Cavalcanti and is one of the rare few ever to win CBJJ Mundials Absolute division twice.
Peter Welch Peter Welch is a former boxing coach for former lightweight title contender Kenny Florian. Welch aided in "Ken-Flo's" preparation for the Joe Stevenson fight but dates all the way back to Florian's time on TUF. Welch would later become the boxing coach for Brock Lesnar.
Luke Richardson Luke Richardson is the strength coach for the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars. He has been the strength and conditioning coach for Brock Lesnar his last two fights. Not much is known of Richardson’s success in mixed martial arts as of yet but he's been a member of the Jaguars since 2009.

| Yea, if anyone on Team Lesnar is a freakish athlete with an insane build, who will be fine fighting with a 2001 skillset and is cool not being able to strike or handle a jab, and already has a great wrestling pedigree, then this team should turn them into an awesome fighter! | |

So that's the coaches fault? Perhaps that's all Lesnar is able to do. Coaches can only do so much with a fighter, they can try to get the most out of them but because the fighter is limited you can't put all that blame on the coach. There's only so much you can polish a turd.

| Knew he'd bring Comprido, IDK about what I expected from his team, and seems fine to me. You know one thing, these guys are going to get excellent wrestling, BJJ and fitness training, and wrestlers win most of the TUFs.... | |

| Sherk and Lesnar are the two guys they've made into championship level fighters. Same profile. | |

| Wolf is a Brock hater. Brock has a good staff of coaches and he knows it. | |

| Kenny Florian still works with Peter Welch.
Greg Nelson hasn't been in Brock's Corner for his last two fights. Marty Morgan and Erik Paulson were. There were rumors that Greg Nelson & Lesnar had a falling out.

| Sounds like good coaching and with some good trainers, the dudes going into the ring are not Brock and just because he trains them it doesn't mean they will not be able to take a punch or be able to do the 360 spin that takes skill, that only he has, should be a good season, hopefully he has not been humbled and him and JDS will get some good smack talk going back and forth to sell this fight | |
