| Pretty much what a lot of us have said on here, but it doesn't mean he has a weak chin. Brock isn't experienced enough, and doesn't know how to react when he gets hit. He retreats and covers up making himself an easier target. Big punchers like Cain or Carwin then jump on him and the punches add up, same could easily happen with JDS. But even though he puts himself in those bad situations, it isn't like he's getting straight KO'd on weak punches, he took a shit tons of shots from Carwin and the same from Cain without going out. | |

| Brock's chin is anything but weak. I don't think I have seen anyone take as hard a shots as he has and not be KO'd. But his training sucks! His striking coach needs to get him used to taking the punches, because the moment he adapts to that, hebecomes a major threat. What makes this worse is that DW should have fucking told him that, because he should already fucking know that. | |

| his striking is pathetic, I think thats the bigger probelm, like LA said he sets himself up to be drilled the way he reacts to initial contact | |

| Brock has proved he has a chin. He just covers up when someone gets a good shot on him. He better correct that or JDS is gonna TKO him. | |

| Brock has been training for years. There are a lot of guys in the ufc who don't act like this when punched. It's not like he started training last month. He just aint got it. | |

| His chin is just fine, as evidenced by his last 2 fights, the problem is that he's too innexperienced to be fighting the best striking hws in ze world... He's not used to getting hit this hard | |

+1 i could name a few hws that wouldnt be able withstand the punishment brock did agaisnt carwin or would be able to last as long as he did agaisnt cain with all the hits he was taking. his chin isnt a factor, his inexperience is.

| I don't rememder exactly, but Brock didn't react too bad in the exchanges with Randy, his poor reactions could possibly be magnified due to the guys he's been facing. First a beast like Carwin with huge power and fists, then Cain who supposedly has one of the hardest punches in MMA...JDS isn't exactly taking a break either, he better hope he gets this to the ground. | |

| Wolf is right and wrong. He has been training for years, but doing the Brock thing instead of the professional thing. For his sake I hope he learns something while staying in Vegas, otherwise it will be a repeat of staggering, bumbling Brock all over again. | |

Brings an interesting idea about his upcoming time in Vegas. He should try to bring in coaches that would best teach him. if his team learns stuff as well, bonus for them.

| Glad to see people aren't just saying the typical thing like, "Brock has no chin," when in reality he has taken punches from Carwin that no one else has. He has to dirty box JDS against the cage and with knees to the thighs. He can't let him off there for a second, because no amount of striking training will prepare him for JDS' hands.
Do you guys think he can control him on the ground? We haven't seen him there yet, but no one has been able to take him down yet, plus he trains with Nog so his BJJ could be really goodeven though it was weak early in his career. It seems like the Blackhouse guys have really developed their takedown defense. Can't wait and bummed we have to wait through a season to see the bout.

That's what makes the fight, sure JDS can dominate Brock standing, but can he stop Brock's takedown? We've yet to see JDS on the ground, how would he react with a huge man like Brock on him? Cause Brock can get just about anyone down, but can he keep JDS there? And with Brock training for a while now with Comprido, I think he's probably got some good sub defense.
