Donnie Brasco

Just rented this movie, I have never seen it and can't remember hearing anything about the movie. It seems to have good ratings. Is this a must watch or can I just burn it and get to it when I have the time?

Brasco is freaking awesome, Pacino is great as always, only thing thats kind of a bummer on the movie is that Lefty 2 guns in real life was not that close a friend with Pistone, in real life most of the moments between Brasco/Pistone and Lefty really took place between Brasco and Sonny Black (Michael Madsens character).

Good movie, takes a different approach then other Mafia movies, the characters aren't exactly typical depictions of what you'd expect from the Mafia.

I was just reading that really it was Sonny that was murdered for brining in Donnie and not Lefty. Who went to jail, and later died of lung cancer after spending his time in jail.

Damn all the squares they portrayed him smoking in the movie was nuts. If he smoked half that much I could definitely see that lol.

yep i didnt wanna ruin it for him when he was watching it but ya in real life Lefty got to Live and Sonnny Black was murdered for nearly having a cop "made"
