Strikeforce's Heavyweight Grand Prix Bracket

i like it because the 3 fights everyone wanted

Overeem vs Werdum, Werdum vs Fedor 2 and Fedor vs Overeem

are all possibilities within the first 2 rounds, and we will get 2 of those fights no matter what

I saw the bracket different somewere else if this bracket is right i think it sucks. The four best fighters are in the same bracket. It would ruin it for me if Arlovski makes the finals, I used to think he was the shit to. If Cabbage was in this tourny thats the only way I could see Arlovski winning a fight.

That bracket is horrible. You need to have Reem and Fedor on opposite sides so they can each make the finals.

Maybe they are hoping for a Fedor Barnett final with that.

No matches I don't want to see still. Anywhere in that, the order is just gonna be different than I first thought, but it really does nothing to my interest ultimately.

Like i said before if that final happens i dont think they would fight each other
And Cabbage fought in Hawaii not to long ago and lost he took about 7,546 to many shots to the head in his career.

people Overeem and Fedor getting to the finals isnt a sure thing I like that we get them for the semis even though everyone knows it will be the finals whoever Fedor faces in the semi's (Overeem or Werdum)

Clearly AA, Sergei, and Rogers all deserve title shots so this way one of them gets a chance to make it.

Could have just setup those fights for the Title and number 1 contender without a tourney, it's anticlimactic.

Lol at their stupid bracket. Only 1 of Fedor, Overeem or Werdum can make the final.

to a fan it sucks but maybe business it does not, if fedor and reem lost in hte first rd it would be horrible for strikeforce. The probablility is that one of them will be in the finals against an opponant they should beat. THis way strikeforce has a marketable champion going forward.


not saying I like it just what their thought process might have been.

They could still both potentially lose in the first rd, exiting 2 of the other 4 top contenders regardless.

I think they should have SDR or Lavar in over Grim. He is coming off of two straight losses right? If they go with SDR they could have Grim vs Lavar.
