| Ok so Pettis' nutty little wall move got me too thinking, who are some of the only people to pull off crazy ass moves in a mixed martial arts fight.
I dont know as much about mma as some guys on here so everyone add your own suggestions, I will start with a few.
Running Off the Wall Kick : ya never seen that one before so Mr. Pettis is the only one I can recall.
Push Off the Cage Superman Punch : Ryan Bader pulled it off not too long ago... anyone else done it?
Flying Leg Scissors : Ken Shamrock (vs Don Frye) and Ryo Chonan (Anderson Silva)
The Mr. Wonderful : or Hammerlock or whatever the hell it's called, Paul Davis
Sunset Flip to Hammer Lock : Ken Shamrock
what else yall got??

| The take down section is quite interesting if somewhat brief. While he has unique approaches to the single leg, double leg and ankle pick, it's the "Sunset Flip to Hammer Lock" move that is completely mind blowing. It's a counter to execute when you're caught in a guillotine choke that involves slamming your opponent backwards and then rolling over into side mount for the hammer lock (kimura) | |

| I think the one that keeps coming to my mind is Nate "The Great" Marquardt's multi-combo strkies against Wilson Gouvia. I remember thinking "Wow! it is like a video game!" Got to say that the Pettis kick would have been even better if he had knocked Bendo out, in addition to that. They voted way to early on fight of the year. Because that was the fight of the year. | |

- There were quite a few works in Pancrase.
And as cool as the move looks, it’s too easy for someone to pull guard the way Ken does it (not to mention he powers the technique more then leverage). However his posture is correct in the guillotine and would make it difficult to choke from just the standing position and there are other counters from this correct posture. What some BJJ guys still do is put their arm over the choker’s shoulder to alleviate the pressure, but then they’re just giving the choker a Wrestling pancake turnover and end up down and in side control.

Bird, I suggest you 1. Learn your pro wrestling moves. 2. Stop watching old works in pancrase. 3. Read the comments to the article you're posting. 4. Take Ken's dick outch yo mouf. 5. Do some more metric stuff and post on the blog. | |
