| http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/John-Makdessi-37402Anybody catch this guy's prelim fight Saturday? Great stuff. Trains with GSP and looks to have decent TDD defense but his standup is fantastic. Taekwondo background to go with his muay thai and he had Audinwood clueless the whole fight. Landed an axe kick, hook kick, and nearly some damn thing that I don't even know the name of (it was like a spinning roundhouse that was sort of delayed so Audinwood had already dropped his defense and it just missed blasting him right in the face). No jitters for his UFC debut. I'm looking forward to see what this kid has in the future. Hopefully training with GSP is getting him some pretty good ground work in too | |
