| At just 22 years old Stefan Struve already has 7 fights in the Octagon. Coming off another solid performance finishing Sean McKorkle in the 1st rd, what is your impression of where Stuve's career could possibly go? He has showcased himself to be very wellrounded, beaten a quality HW in Buentello, and his only loses in the cage have come against Junior Dos Santos who some would call the best HW striker in the World and a top 5 HW and an arguable top 10 HW in Roy Nelson.
I think a smart next fight looking at natural progession should come against Kongo

| He should fight Travis Browne if they want to continue prospecting, or Brock Lesnar. | |

| I'd like him against Meathead after he presumably beats Hague
Or Lesnar | |

| there are no mid majors in the HW division in the UFC I guess. They're all bum-prospect class or top five. There is no in between There is no UFC top ten. Struve would have to be in it if there was one. He is 5-2 in the UFC. Lesnar is 4-2. While Lesnar has been involved in title fights, UFC fights are UFC fights. He was just featured in a co-main event on a major PPV card.
Lesnar needs a new look. This is a winnable but still competitive fight to help Brock rebound at best, or it is a true test between two growing mixed martial artists and UFC giants.

| Brock needs to face one of the still contending UFC HWs, not a talent kid but still up and coming HW. You don't go McKorkle to Brock or Mir. And there are plenty of mid level UFC HWs, Kongo, Barry, Browne, Madsen.. | |

| Struve is better than every fighter you just mentioned save Madsen, who can't fight Lesnar because they're team mates, and he is boring and much less dynamic. | |

| Brock shouldn't fight any of the fighters mentioned whether teammates or not, simply because he should fight still one of the top contending HWs. All those fights, which I listed as midlevel HWs not opponents for Brock, would be natural next fights for Struve, about right where he's at, Kongo IMO makes by far the most sense. He just beat McKorkle not Roy Nelson. | |

Who? There are none. Other divisions have tons of these fighters. At 5-2 Struve defaults to that level.

| Roy Nelson, Mir, Big Nog should be about the oppnents Brock should face next.
Struve's at a different level on the totem pole, add Rothwell to those mid guys in acceptable next fights.

| Someone said the same thing the other day, maybe GDP? but I actually thought about the fight too when watching the weigh ins I think. I could've seen them making the fight had McKorks won, not that I personally would have felt it was the right fight to make though.
McKorkle is a big guy, but this was the first I really have seen him fight, and he looks like he likes getting hit less then Brock. Seems like a decent JJ guy with size and some strength.

| Seriously though, i don't buy Struve. The only two notables he's fought have finished him quickly and soundly. He's a fine middle of the pack HW but i don't ever see him rising above that. | |

| Pretty sure Wolf is twisting your tail LA.
Brock vs struve is an epic mismatch.
I like Struve, but until he is cutting weight to make the limit, he will be overpowered by the higher ranked guys.
I would have liked the idea of Kongo before the stinker he gave us the last time out.
Meathead's a good one.

| If the UFC wants Lesnar in title fights they need to give him a middle of the pack guy. He has 7 fights. He will lose to any contenders they have besides possibly Mir.
Struve vs Lesnar. Do it.

| Kongo seems like the perfect fit for Struve. Meathead is another I could see them matching him with. Struve would'nt make it out of the first with Brock. Struve gets beat by any guy that is a good wrestler like Brock, Carwin, or Madsen. Yeah Madsen. | |

Damn, to think Mark Hunt was beating Sean McCorkle away from being "in the mix".

LOL. He wasn't really though. They owed Hunt those fights. Struve is 5-2 in the UFC. At HW, that's in the mix. LESNAR VS STRUVE. Make it happen!

| That's a pretty ugly 2 though. His 5 wins are below the middle class, and his 2 losses are against guys "in the mix" and they were both swift first round KO's.

| Not to mention Morecraft was mugging him for a great portion of their fight and his fight with Buentello was too close for comfort for somebody who is in the mix.
Struve vs. Kongo before we start talking about him being in the mix. I have a feeling Kongo would prove that talks of Struve being in the mix were greatly exaggerated.

| 5-2 is 5-2 mang. There is such a dramatic drop off at HW after the big six in the UFC that Struve defaults to that category. | |
