Riki Fukuda vs. Nick Ring on tap for UFC 127

Current DEEP middleweight champion Riki Fukuda (17-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and "The Ultimate Fighter 11" contestant Nick Ring (10-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) both make their UFC debuts at UFC 127.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) confirmed the reported booking with a source close to the event.

UFC 127 takes place Feb. 27 in Sydney, Australia, and airs live on Feb. 26 in North America via pay-per-view (due to the time difference).

Ring, meanwhile, finally is off the bench after an injury to his ACL dashed his dreams of winning "TUF 11." The Canadian middleweight bested the show's eventual winner, Court McGee, in the first round of the reality-show tournament, but his knee forced him to withdraw from the show. Ultimately, the injury proved serious enough to keep him from the undercard of show's live finale, as well.


Nick Ring was the REAL, winner of TUF.

Nick Ring was the gay guy. Never lost on the show. Beat the eventual winner on the show but injured his knee(ACL) and hasn't fought since then.

Ring looked awful to me.. but he had a knee injury as an excuse i guess.. which he might not be able to fully recover from anyway

I think a fight between him and Cort makes a little too much sense.

depends how he comes back. remember he beat court in a match he couldnt really utilize his bread and butter in (wrestling). court has heart however nick just has alot of talent. a rematch could go either way but if nick comes in at 100% or like he did against that dude in his first match into the house then i say he takes it
