They are though. So long as a fighter submits paperwork from a licensed physician explaining why it is necessary for a fighter to be on Testosterone therapy and the reason(s) check out with CSAC doctors it has never been a suspension if they trip the test within known parameters. Chael has been on the therapy for some time now and was cleared to fight Okami, Maia, and Marquardt and never had a problem before. CSAC should keep record on this stuff.

There are so many corrupt doctors its not funny. No one under any circumstance should be allowed to take steroids for any reason and still compete.

We really can't get into the corrupt doctors though because it goes nowhere. How do we know the CSAC/NSAC physicians aren't corrupt? How do we know he even tripped the test and someone didn't screw it up along the way seeing as he never did before.

That's why it should be completely banned. That way there will be less chance of corruption.

Freak's views on this whole thing are weird. He treats testosterone like some boogeyman that gives fighters superpowers. Its a totally legitimate therapy that plenty of fighters are on

I think there were roids in Chute Box in the PrideFC Glory days, and I think the exempted TRT treatment Sonnen and others take constituents roiding as well.

We can look at Sonnen's results themselves for easiest speculation. His level's were over four times the allowed limit over a day after he "replaced his testosterone".

Presumably, that higher level would be acceptable if the required avenues were taken before the fight(and the being a complete retard defense doesn't have me convinced at all, but that's another story).

The point of juicing is advantage. If his TRT is twice a week than he see's advantages during possibly four days of the week by having elevated levels of Testosterone at his disposal during training and conceivably during a fight itself.

Another interesting part of this is the administration of the therapy itself. Sonnen administered it himself twice a week for potentially up to two years yet was unable to indicate his prescribed dosage. It isn't hard to imagine athletes on this treatment would be tempted to self medicated with the aim of gaining an advantage.

CSAC said something that might of been overlooked during their circus last week. One of the commissioners said that there needs to be an agenda item very soon that specifically deals with this treatment. I think that is a very good idea, there is valid concern on how this treatment is used.

End of the day I'm hoping for one thing but predicting another. The reason I don't like this matchup; Sonnen is the last person I would want to see Wanderlei ever lose to.

Yeah coming off the injury, the fight miles, it is a bleak outlook. Hope remains though, maybe Wand can get a TRT prescription!

I don't see Wand having one of his better fights here. Sonnen is going to take him down and beat on him for 3 rounds.
