I was actually let down by this decision. i thought with Bill Clinton on the job we had a great chance.

You already had it in 1994. Qatar is the worst place to have it. 40-50 degree heat everyday.

I was joking. I actually think the US is a terrible place to have it because its no where near as popular here as it is around the world. About Qatar I heard they are building 3 or 4 stadiums that will be air conditioned if that helps at all.

According to The New Republic, his deal guaranteed him $3 million regardless of the bid's success and a whopping $15 million if Qatar got the event. Well, they got it, so now Zidane gets his $15 million.
