| Ali. it aint close. The MYTH of Tyson lives on. It falls apart under even precursory scrutiny. Tyson never beat a great fighter. he never overcame any adversity, and he was never a great fighter. People talk about "when Cus was around" because they dont know what the hell they are talking about. Cus died LLLOOOONNGGG before Tyson won the title. Long before Tyson even fought a real contender. Tyson looked "unstoppable" with Cus because he was fighting total tomato cans. He stepped up the competiton and that all ended. Not because Cus was gone, or because Robin Givens was around, but because the COMPETITON was much better. If an absolute prime Tyons needs a knockdown to salvage a win over an old and used up James Tillis, what do you think he needs to beat a Prime Ali? You can start with a sledgehammer and a blindfold and I still favor Ali.
Tyson has a punchers chance againt anyone who ever lived. When you are talking about the pantheon of the great fghters, that punchers chance is virtually no chance. When you are talking about a great fighter with the greatest chin and tactical mind in division history, you are talking ZERO chance. Ill take Ali by TKO after 9. So will any historian worth his salt.

The only other Spinks fight I've seen was his first fight with Holmes and he did not look like he belonged at heavyweight in that fight. He was hurt to the body and I think if Holmes had just let his hands go more he would have stopped him. For some reason though Holmes looked very disinterested in that fight. Spinks was the champ and Tyson destroyed him but if we're being honest was Spinks lucky that Holmes was so disinterested that night?

| Alright guys, alot of you seem like you would be willing to bet your lives on this fight that Ali would win...
Since you seem to think it'd be so one sided, would you even want to see this fight with both guys in their prime?
I personally believe this would pry be THE highest selling fight if both guys were in their prime and fighting today.

I personally believe this would pry be THE highest selling fight if both guys were in their prime and fighting today. i agree that it probably would be the highest selling fight ever but thats because of the fact that everybody knows who those 2 are and there has been the myth going around that tyson used to be indestructable. it would be a bigger fight for casual fans than die hard fans. there are tons of mythical fights that i would rather see. i would pick these fighters to fight other fighters rather than each other.
