Awesome time at the weigh-ins and the card. All the fighters were super cool and approachable. Jose Aldo was very friendly. I can't believe a guy that small could be so dangerous. Miguel Torres and Jens Pulver were also super cool guys. Was really impressed with how nice and down-to-earth Ryan Bader was. He has a fan in me.

The fights were awesome besides Harris/Falco. I kind of blame Falco there. Harris kept inching forward, then got hammered and was probably dazed the rest of the fight. Falco is a bum.

Griffin was robbed big time. He stormed off afterward and threw his hat in the crowd. Lentz has little future in the division. Couldn't wrestle with Griffin really. Predicted Lentz to win, but Griffin was robbed.

Predicted O'Brien to win. He looked huge at the weigh-ins and I wasn't sure how Kelly, who I have never been impressed with, would deal with the reach. O'Brien could be scary down the line when he learns how to utilize his reach a little better.

Edson Barbosa is a witch. Ridiculous takedown defense and ultra-quick and violent strikes. Reminded me of Jose Aldo, except taller. Lullo had a great guard though, but was just outclassed.

Parisyan got caught and was too cocky coming in. I don't blame White for cutting him, but I don't think it's fair to say he can't compete at this level anymore. He just got caught.

Simpson/Munoz was a war and I thought Simpson won, even though I predicted Munoz. I'm not sure how it looked on Spike, but live it was just a beautiful battle. Those guys let everything go.

Loved Brown/Foster. Both guys abandoned technique and just threw down. Foster is a dangerous guy in the division.

Aussie George is a stud -- to submit Joe is legit. He should fight the winner of Sherk/Gomi for the title. Siver doesn't make any sense for him. He could give Edgar/Maynard winner a run. It may take the UFC begging Tommy Speer to comeback and drop down to stop George.

Davis didn't looks great, but Tim is a tough guy. Struggled more than I thought he would with the takedowns [makes me think that Jon Jones is better], but his strikes were improved. Loved the submission at the end.

Felt bad for Hughes. You could tell that loss hurt him deeply. I don't know why everyone hates him. Seems like a really cool guy. Penn and Hughes seem like best friends with the way they pal around.

Machida, and I am a homer, was robbed. Rampage was very respectful of Machida even after pushing him at the weigh-ins. I would have accepted a 10-8 round score for Lyoto in the third and thought the first two were basically draws. Was surprised that Rampage got the takedown at the end, but Machida knocked him down at the end. There should be a rematch, but with Jones, Davis and Bader on the horizon the UFC needs to put one of these guys in contention immediately.

Sat on the second row of the second deck. View was great. Lots of tough guys in attendance who loved to stare me down so wasn't a fan of that. Don't really like the typical MMA fan in general. Lots of ignorant folks booing for no reason and calling the fighters pussies and what-not. Not to mention the ridiculous clothing. Those types are the reason I don't tell people I watch or train MMA. Lots of drunk degenerates, but their slutty girlfriends were nice eye-candy. I hope the UFC comes back soon. Seemed like the fans were hospitable. Thought it would be more fitting at the Joe Louis arena. Great experience. Would probably drop the extra coin to be on the floor next time.

Glad it was fun. Really...Falco is the bum? On TV, it was definetly Harris that won the Bum Of The Night bonus.

Glad you enjoyed it. No way though that Machida won 10-8 in the 3rd.

Staggered him, took him down twice, a mount and attempted two submissions vs. two or three grazing-at-best wild hooks? That's a dominating round. I wouldn't score it 10-8, but I wouldn't be upsetif someone did. Machida didn't deserve to lose that fight over meaningless clinch work against the cage. The best offense Rampage mounted was a meaningless takedown in the second. In that same round Machida knocked him down with a punch.

Glad you had fun Boomer! I'm jealous. Sucks your dude(Lyoto) lost when you spent mad money I'm sure on seeing him fight but I'm sure the overall experience was worth it.

awsome to have been there. dont worry the majority of the mma community and analyst felt machida was robbed and gained more fans (even some of my hater machida friends after the first shogun fight).
