I missed it due to work...so can somebody fill me in with all the good stuff that went down? I already know the results...just want to get a better understanding of what went down other than who won.

It was good, especially compared to UFC 122. Rampage just did enough to get the decision. Though if you were scoring the whole fight as 1 round then Machida would've won. Penn destroyed Hughes with his speed of hand. Aussie George came back to submit Lauzon in a good fight. Karo got smashed and looks done.

George vs Joe was a good fight. Lauzon came out strong and got the better of the standing exchanges in round 1. In round 2 George showed his dominant ground game off and threatened with a couple of armbars before getting the Kimura locked in and forcing Joe to tap.

Harris vs Falcao was pretty boring. Falcao won the 1st 2 rounds pretty easily and then didn't throw anything at all in the 3rd which pissed everyone off.

Phil Davis continues to impress. Pretty dominating performance as he gets Tim Boetch to tap due to kimura in the 2nd round. Really impressed by the growth of Davis' skills.

BJ really put a quick stop to any momentum Hughes had coming into this fight. BJ just using superior boxing technique to drop Hughes with a short right hand. BJ has a great killer instinct and tee's off on Hughes with vicious ground and pound and Hughes goes unconscious.

Rampage vs Machida was really all about round 3. Even though the 1st 2 rounds are what gave this fight to Jackson on the Judge's score cards. Round 1 there was nothing significant landed by either guy. Machida landed some leg kicks, Rampage did some clinch work against the fence..... close round. Round 2 Rampage is able to get a takedown but Machida gets up almost immediately. Machida lands some good knees and Rampage lands 1 solid punch. Close round.... edge to Rampage. 3rd round is where all the action is. Machida hurts Rampage with a right hand. Machida opening up more with punches and kicks. Machida takes Rampage down and is looking for a kimura. He gives it up and goes to mount. Machida goes for the arm bar and almost has it but Rampage is able to stack him and goes for his signature slam so Machida lets go of the arm. Machida goes for a trick heel hook attempt at the end of the round.

In my opinion i had it 29-28 Machida, but the truth is this needed to be a five round fight.

Oggy pretty much nailed it. I think Joe gassed and it ruined his night.

As for the Page/Machida fight, I had it 29-28 Rampage but would not have been at all surprised or upset if it went to Machida. Good fight and Page appears to be back to his old self, aside from still not finishing a fight.
Then there's this from round three...

joe gassed, goerge has to step up and stop facing 2nd and 3rd string guys . his biggest win to date is over joe daddy

harris got overwhelm then falcao then gassed on the third and harris was the only one there to fight. should of been a draw simply cus fal refused to fight

davis is good but not ready for the top guys. 2/3 fights from now we will see if he is ready

penn destroyed an old out of prime hughes. i was sure pen would win but not in the same fashion he did. looks like hughes is more done then anything. would of been great had this fight taken place back 3 years ago.

machida got robbed. page was pulling a rashad during the first two rounds trying to clinch and take machida down instead of engage in the stand up. became a page fanc for he was so humble and even admitted to machida and everyone else he lost

Falcao pulled some pretty fucked up shit at the end of the second round holding on the a rnc way to long. Falcao should be cut imo. Even if you want to tell yourself he didn't hear the bell, he had to feel the ref pulling at his arm and he still kept choking. Why is this not being talked about? I just rewatched it and realized how long he tried to hold it even after the ref grabbed his arm. Fuck that guy.

Actually they shortened the round by 7 seconds. He should've been choking the fuck out of Harris and instead it was getting broken up.

My mistake it was actually the first round. But regardless of stopping the round short the mother fucker kept choking when the ref was pulling at him.
