| From a guy who doesn't watch as much as I used to watch. I don't really know alot of the top guys now days. I can think of one guy that I want to see fight Manny andthat is PBF. So who are some guys out there besides Floyd, who should get a shot at the bst fighter on the planet? I can't think of anyone I would even watch fight Pac right now. Tell me who you think would be a good match up and why? Help an mma guy out.... Oh and MANNY IS A FUCKING BEAST! | |

| Paul Williams is 6'1 1/2 and makes 147 easy, he thows 100 punches a round
Paul Williams would beat the shit outta Manny Before Floyd owned Mosley Mosley vs Pac would have been fun
Yuriorkis Gamboa is to small right know but pay attention to the kid, he is gonna be a top 5 P4P talent within 2 to 3 years
Celestine Caballero is the most ducked fighter out there, another long tall lanky fighter in a small division

[/quote Didn't you tell ma Margarito was gonna beat Manny? Somebody here did said they thought he might. Paul Williams would beat the shit out of Manny? ROFL I don't think there is anyone within 25 lbs of him who could do that. Bring on Williams then if UBF doesn't want some.

| also Juan Manuel Marquez since I have him going 1-0-1 against Pac although i think he has lost a step while Manny has gained one in the alst 2 years
people forget we are only 3 years removed from Manny almost losing to Marquez and looking pedestrian against Barrerra
mainly cause all theyve done is watch manny the alst 2 years

| Big money fights left for Manny after Floyd
Marquez Trilogy Mosley Chavez Jr Cotto rematch (Puerto Ricans still support him)
After that, viable opponents who arent huge to the casuals would be
Paul Williams - I think if he losses this coming Saturday, we're more likely to see him drop down and face Manny Devon Alexander-Tim Bradley winner (Fight January), likely to be considered the #1 guy at 140
And that's about it right now, but look at the last two fights, Clottey and Margarito, and still pretty damn big PPVs

| Williams had an off night in 2007, it happens, he came back and completely dominated Quintana and LEARNED FROM THAT LOSS
that loss helped him alot in the first Martinez fight IMO
all im saying is we have seen Clottey go into a shell and be happy with throwing 14 punches a round vs Pac, we have seen Margarito a slow methodical fighter be beaten into submission
Lets see someone huge that throws 100 punches a round come at Manny and see how he responds
Cotto got his ass kicked and still roughed Pac up
I wont believe Manny beats Williams until i see it happen

think Berto ever gets back on track? I doubt it he's got Freddy Hernandez next, which I think could be trouble for him... after that HBO has mentioned Mosley again? Somebody compared him to Jeff Lacy, seems to fit him just right lol

Nah, wasnt saying that, just using that fight to point out how much he gets hit. He opens up-no question & is determined, but he gets hit bc of his style Quintana figured out a game plan and out boxed him His "off nights" have been against the same type of fighter, Quick southpaw boxers What Manny is and at 147, I gotta lean towards Pac

Somebody compared him to Jeff Lacy, seems to fit him just right lol I feel bad for Berto with the tsunami killing alot of his family, its weird, he wants to be known and be recognized as a good fighter but he doesn't act like it at times. I think he beats Mosley at this point, but we may not ever see it happen.

| I definitely agree about WIlliams trading to land. The thing is weve seen Pac get countered in exchanges we just haven't seen it happen lately cause hes been bum rushing the shit out of them and turning.
What he did to Clottey and Margarito was amazing and nuts. Still can't believe how he made Clottey and the Tijuana Tornado look.
I think Williams wont get discouraged like that or let that happen. Hell maybe Manny does come out and tag Williams and hurt him early and scare him out of the fight. I dont think that happens.
Barrera was able to draw Manny into a boxing match early and was doing good, Cotto was landing good jabs, I think its funny so many people think Pac will just kill Williams cause in reality Freddie Roach will never allow Pacquiao to fight Williams.
Williams could jab Manny alot harder and better than Cotto was and Cotto was landing em hard early. I think Williams could outbox and possibly stop Manny.
Take that for what its worth after all this is the guy who predicted Hatton and Margarito would beat Pacquiao

Take that for what its worth after all this is the guy who predicted Hatton and Margarito would beat Pacquiao I agree with u Bird but he would have to stay mentally tough and stick with the gameplan of jab, jab, jab and jab again. Keep Pac Man on the outside and he may get the stoppage by landing power shots in counterpunch opportunities.

U have me confused with somebody else. But Bird seems to be the contrarian on the Pac subject. First picking Antonio, and now predicting a Williams blowout. But I think at the very least Pac stays competitive, he enjoyed getting into the exchanges with antonio, he took punches, but was never fazed, and I think Antonio hits harder then Williams. So that's a plus for Pac. And I think it goes without saying that Pac's punches would have an effect on Williams. If they hurt antonio, they would hurt williams. Now williams will fight a much different fight then Antonio, if for no other reason then he's physically a different fighter, but I could almost see Pac using williams's length against him, his quickness making williams reach into a negative for paul. I could see alot of swinging and missing from Williams. Though I would not at all suspect Williams to take that pounding without grabbing a hold of Pac(unlike Margarito) and letting the ref create the distance Williams feels more comfortable at. But this is a dreamland fight at the moment. So ya know, lets see what happens with Williams this saturday(it is this saturday right).
