| I got fucking tagged today.
Got an email from my cable company with the date/time, what I downloaded and where I got it from. Have to delete all evidence and programs pertaining to it within 7 days. If it's not, 250k fine. Fucking bullshit | |

do you have mediacom ziggs? To be fair, that movie bombed so bad they needed to get some money out of it. On a side note I rented it for $1 and now own that movie. | |

| I got a letter from Mediacom, (my cable company) that said basically I was tagged for copyright infringement and had illegally downloaded content. It listed my ip the date and time and what I was downloading from where. Kinda made me laugh thatr I got hit downloading Eastbound and Down  I was using uTorrent and got it from www.kickasstorrents.com | |

| It said also that I have to send a letter and state that, "in good faith" I removed everything from my computer. So for the time being I moved every file to my external hard drive and deleted utorrent.
Also found out that the $250k fine and federal charges are only if the can prove you made a profit from it and I never sold shit.
Really pissed me the fuck off cause I pirated shit for 7-8 years on my old computer, bought this one and got nailed in less than 30 days. | |

| After reading the letter and researching some stuff on line what I think is going on is that there are just 3rd party company that do nothing but scan ip addresses and report them if there is anything illegal going on. | |
