Smart... They aren't going anywhere this season and don't need to be dealing with his salary and his headaches. Next move should be to put Favre on the IR and force his retirement for good. I know they won't because Favre is some kind of a God to the NFL... But they should...

The Vikings up coming schedule gets alot easier and with harvin hurt this makes little sense to me to cut him. He has declined and didnt want to play for the Vikings but to give him what he wants and release him? I would have just sent him home and let him collect his check sitting on his ass.

Nah, he'd still be a pain in the teams ass. If they send him home, he's still barking to the media every minute of every day. They did the right thing. I like it when teams show they aren't going to tolerate the BS. It's just too bad that most teams pick and choose who they are and aren't going to tolerate it from... Brad Childress is pissed off his defense is garbage this year and isn't giving their offense any support and just detonating the team at this point, throwing everyone under the bus. Stupid move if you ask me.

Well u put him with Jennings and Driver and James Jones thats not a bad group of recievers.

I guess they needed to do it, but he's responsible for 2 of their wins, he opens everything up, anyone with Harvin should be pissed as fuck because Randy is the reason for his great games lately. I have Moss on 4 teams, he better go somewhere good, also heard nothing is official yet, but hope he goes to a pas heavy O.

If he goes to the Pack that may be a nice fit.

Why would Childress be gone after this year? Before he took over the Vikings were 6-10. First season 8-8, second 10-6, third 12-4 and the NFC runner up to the Superbowl champions. Two rookie of the year awards, two time NFC North division winner in three years, and a top 10 defense all while under his tenure as head coach. How is his job in question again?

Ludo this team was built to make a run this year and has drasticly under performed. He has now started throwing players under the boss and the final name in the coffin would have been starting Tavaris over Farve.

Yes it has underperformed because key players keep getting/have been injured. Shiancoe spent time out of a game, Harvin is on and off, Sidney Rice has yet to play a down due to hip surgery during the off season. Bryant McKinnie and Phil Loadholt both got injured at one point. Is it any wonder the team isn't performing like it did last year? The defense cannot make a stop every time, the offense has slowed due to injuries in the recieving core and on the line(why do you think they went for Moss at all?). One year of underperformance does not mean you forget about the three increasingly good years preceeding it that were spent building toward something that is going to have to wait until all the parts can function at the same time.
