| do we think they keep the fedor fights under wrap?
I give the UFC credit for showing guys on unleashed who now headline events in other org's, but Fedor is a special case.

| They might, if for no other reason than to promote more aggressive demands that he fight in the UFC. They own all his Pride footage. Might as well use it. | |

| Well if Dana REALLY wants him in the UFC he should try to play nice and try to repair the bridge HE burned. If you're going to put on old PRIDE fights, you have got to have Fedor in them. If not they're gonna have to do a bunch of editing lol. But alas, I think he'll edit Fedor out. I never really thought Dana wanted him that bad. Of course he says he does publically I just don't think he wants to pay the cost | |

| Well it kind of makes sense for Dana to not want to bend over backwards for it. M-1 may have the ball but the UFC has the court so to speak. All the top competition is in the UFC for Fedor, and that being the case gives them a little bit of leverage in the situation. When it all boils down neither side NEEDS the other. Both can go on without the other and be prosperous anyway. It's kind of like if BJ Penn went to Japan. He'd still be the man over there as a lightweight, theres no doubt about it. But would he be the man because he just demolished 10 guys who never had any business being in there with him in the first place or because of what he's already done?
Fedor doesn't need the UFC and the UFC doesn't need Fedor. But it'd really be the shit if they somehow found a way to pair up if only for one superfight for the ages.

| I'm not saying he should bend over backwards. M1 was unreasonable during their last talks. The Bridge was burned a couple years ago when they bought out PRIDE. I wouldn't say all the top competion is in the UFC. They have the deeper talent pool for sure but SF has a good HW class. It's not like all the UFC HWs fight top comp either. Mir fought Kongo for Christ's sake, a guy who everyone thinks is a top 5 guy. And he fights Kongo who just barelysqeaks in the top 20. Absolutly agree that neither side needs each other. If they did, the deal would have been made by now. But about BJ; the guys he fights now at LW have no business being in there with him. | |

| In the official release that came out they said Fedor will be shown.
Maybe Dana really has had some more talks with M-1...

| Ohio, why does it have to be all DW's fault? I seriously doubt it was and even if that bridge isn't working Lorenzo was the main negotiator. | |

| Well someone, somehere at Zuffa burned it lol. And judging by Dana's track record it was prolly him. Thats why Fedor's guys were dicks in their most recent talks. Zuffa can't just ignore Fedor's existance, then get pissed off when he doesn't sign with them. They coulda done right by him the first time around, they didn't, so the price went up. Zuffa (or Dana) didn't want to pay the cost, and thats fine, it's a bussiness, but don't blame it all on "crazy russians" for not getting the deal done. | |
