| At the Zamboanga City Coliseum in Zamboanga City, Philippines, former two division world champion Gerry Peñalosa (55-8-2, 37KOs) stopped Yodsaenkeng Kietmangmee of Thailand (12-3) in four rounds of action. The fight was a farewell bout for Penalosa. He ends his 21-year boxing career on a winning note. Much of the proceeds from the event will go to injured Filipino boxer Z Gorres. Penalosa had lost his last two bouts as he entered the ring for this contest.
