Grew up in Nova Scotia but my family is Irish (acutally lived in Dublin for a while in my 20s). Always loved football and with a team called "The Fighting Irish" on TV every week I was a fan since as long as I can remember. Loved the symbol too, as it's also my initials "ND" (that's right, my name isn't really 'Tobe' ooooohhhh). Not actually a Catholic though (not really anything). |

Tougher games this week. I feel the Miami, Va Tech, ASU vs OSU, and Notre Dame games are all toss ups. I am pretty confident in the other games. |

Anyone who knows football is an NFL fan. Lots of Buffalo Bills fans (for some damn reason) and talk of trying to get them to move to Toronto. Some NCAA fans for the big programs (Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Florida) not too many though.
CFL is garbage - second rate NFL reject players playing a third rate version of the game at half empty stadiums.
In general Canadian football sucks. I played in High School but it's nowhere near the level it is in the states. University football is probably on par with US high school ball. Nova Scotia has some good traditionally strong universtiy programs (St. Mary's, Acadia, St. FX). Actually Quebec is really producing some good High School talent (well, good by Canadian university standards) and has a couple of schools that are really strong which were unheard of like 10 years ago (Val D'Or; University of Montreal, etc.) |
