i too think it was just a bad choice of words, i dont think he meant to be offensive, but when i read it it was printed slightly differently as you can tell by my initial reaction. But at the same time he's a pro athlete and should know that everything he says is gonna be under a microscope. So he should just think about things a little more before he says them.

and this is why athletes are told to not say anyhting that might bite them in the ass in a press clip (writing) your tones does not come across on paper/ anyone can make what they want out of it
