What's your favorite sub?

Mine changes the more I train and compete.

I used to love the Americana because I'd get mount and play around with different stuff, but as soon as I could pin the hand to the mat I went for it. My style is more of a guard player so I've been getting pretty good at arm bars and triangles from the bottom, but mainly arm bars. But hands down my favorite sub is the gogo. Sure it hardly ever works, but its fucking awesome. I will die a happy man if I ever pull a gogo from the mount in a tourney ala Aoki

dude i got someone with a wicked gogo rolling a few weeks ago. I felt like a bad ass lol.

right now i love working from front headlock position so im really into darce chokes, anacondas, guillotines, and peruvian necktie's.

I like the darce, but I never feel I'm in a good position to get it. I never seem to go for anacondas either because I'd rather for the the guillotine (or just feel more comfortable with it)

well it depends. If the guy is bigger/stronger than me i gor for the guillotine but on less experienced or smaller guys i like to try to get fancy.

when I rolled (not often at all and a looooong time ago) all i pretty much knew where ankle locks and knee bars, am thinking about starting back up

I mainly grapple with my eight year old but I'd say my favorite sub to put him in is the triangle from mount.

How exactly would that work? I mean I'm assuming you're a grown ass man and your 8 year old is not a huge fat kid who lives at McDonalds. How are you able to apply the choke to such a small person? I feel like there'd be plenty of room to breath and survive. I'm not sure why I'm overthinking this one.

i have long legs so i should be better at getting triangles than i am. I go for them all the time but it seems the guys i roll with are always expecting it/have very good sub d. I almost never get caught in a triangle now, infact i'll bait people to go for it and then i sneak both arms out and use it to pass guard.

i choked a friend out with a rear naked not too long ago... that was pretty sweet
but im a big fan of kimuras and key locks.
