FNF - on ESPN? - Poll vote

I'm curious how everyone feels, do you kats want a FNF thread? My thoughts are, unless there's a decent fight main event that's worth talking about, we don't have a weekly thread. I believe as much as possible, we need to divorce ourselves from the ESPN boxing forum.

Like I said Ali, unless there's a notable fight on, I don't see where we need a weekly FNF thread, this weeks' card for example sucks ass.

I think we should do it every week. I enjoy talking about the fights while they are going on.

Maybe we can get a Solo Boxeo thread too. Even if I don't post during the fight, it's good to have a place for reactions because FNF and SB usually put on good cards.

Let's get some more votes.. Canvas, Marble, Hardcore, Slick, Capt, Bird, Freddie, Frank, et al.


I don't mind posting a FNF thread every week, but last week, we had like 4 people responding to it and then it ended up with just me and sooner.. if we had a dozen or more guys participating every week it would be worth it, if not why bother.

Yeah we really do need more than just us. Even though we are really great.

I live for scoring fights. HBO and Showtime don't consistently provide cards.

FNF is a staple of every boxing fan. You can't beat it. Tessitore and Teddy. Its more fun to rip on how long it will take for Teddy to use "real estate", or mess up a latino name, or say something ridiculous like last week (he's in his kitchen and he is having something to eat).

FNF has nothing to do with the old board which I have not gone to since joining this board (as Ring, Ali, Marble, and most of the regulars from the old board worth talking to are here).

Lets do the FNF thread.

It's fine with me Capt, I just didn't know how everyone felt about it, looks like most people in the poll are in favor of having a FNF thread here, so unless we get a shitload of negative votes, I'll start one.

Tell you what Capt, unless someone else wants to do it, (like Ali) why don't you and I split doing a FNF thread every week starting this friday. We can try it for a while and if it looks like everyone is going to participate, we can keep doing it.

Shouldn't let your dislike for the ESPN forum dictate FNF.

It's boxing and therefore worth discussing. Granted I don't watch FNF as much as I use too.... mainly because I don't get ESPN anymore.

Right empanek, it's boxing and there's a lot of things happening related to boxing that are worth watching it for, like Teddy and Joe making asses out of themselves every week.

It's not so much dislike of the ESPN boxing forum as it was not knowing if the members here wanted a FNF thread, it seems most do, so we can try it for a while, if we get good participation from everyone, it should be a good thing.

The mob has spoken, senator Gaius Julius Aliaius has declared that there will be a weekly FNF thread !!!
