| Consider his accomplishments as both a fighter & UFC champion and as a coach.
He had multiple UFC title defenses(though the lineal WW championship found it's way to ANDERSON SILVA) and was the coach behind many storied and long lived title runs.
Matt Hughes, Rich Franklin, Jeremy Horn, Robbie Lawler, Jens Pulver were all dominant fighters that were forged under his guidance and he was able to morph a giant two toed tree sloth living fossil into a champion in Tim Sylvia.
Slob + training = dominant HW for years in the UFC.

Tim Sylvia wins every one of his fights in 2006, including three title fights.
Rich defended his title once in 06, only losing to p4p mainstay Anderson Silva.
Matt Hughes defended against BJ Penn in 2006, only losing to p4p mainstay GSP.
Guess farmer didn't watch much back then either...
