Yeah thats 2 big fights in a week that didnt even get close to living up to the hype.

+1 nobody was hyping this fight .

With that being said the heavyweight division is dead. I'll make time for Haye and Adamek but I really don't care for the division anymore. Too many lazy heavyweights and freakish Soviets killing the division.

Guys I watched friday night fights last night and they was talking about how impressive Eddie Chambers has been recently and that he had a legit chance to beat Vlad if he fought the right fight. So maybe not big hype like the Pac Man fight but there were people who gave this a real chance of being a good fight. The HW belt is the biggest in the sport and to be honest it has probably been a good 5 years since the belt was relevant. Lennox was the last REAL champ that people reconized and considered the champ. Its not all Wlads fought but no 1 cares anymore about a division that hasnt had real contenders in about 15-20 years.

Good point lol. That was Brian Kenny talking Eddie Chambers up though. Although he may have been playing devils advocate.

The Wlad and Vitali aren't some significant drop in talent at the top as some would argue. The only people that argue that are black boxing trainers and Teddy Atlas types who speak with that fake pseudo NY boxing trainer accent like a cartoon/movie character, from America, who think that a non-African American champ instantly means boxing isn't as good anymore.

People don't like change and they don't like Russian white guys as HW champ. Unfortunately inspite of what everyone believes, today's HW champs could easily contend with yesterdays if not beat them outright. My opinion anyway.


BTW, I stopped watching the fight in the 11th. Missed the KO. Sucky.
