Probably somebody they can have Kimbo fight. Kimbo would take him down and dominate him and everybody will be raving about Kimbo's new ground game.

i have no problem with it. Let the guy fight. I'm a bit surprised they signed him 0-0..not usually their style without going through TuF first.

James will knock out Kimbo with a jab, Kibo needed an ear to fly off to get a win over Thompson who Rogers planted with a 1-2. Face it guys Kimbo is all hype, I dont even think he could beat Toney in a cage

A legit boxer in MMA is very interesting. Dana could work this two ways allow him to fight someone like Kimbo, Kongo, Buentello, or Yvel and we will se that boxers hands are WAY better then MMA fighters or he can just throw him in there VS any wrestler, show him get owned, then bash boxing.

I don't think Dana will giving him any gifts. If Tony gets a win he will probably call it quits while he is ahead so he can talk shit until he dies. Dana should and probably will try to squash this ASAP.

Toney's style of boxing really doesn't translate to MMA at all. He hould still have better hands than nearly everyone I would imagine though

Give him Kimbo. I bet Kimbo will take him unless he stands the whole fight. After that Kongo or Struve. Big Country would take him down and eat him alive. I don't see him beating any HW unless he pulls a Timmeh on them and the try to stand with him. UFC should have went for Tyson if they were going to do thid. That would be the biggest MMA news of all time.

Will he add some drawing power?

I'd stick him on an already big card with like Brock vs. Carwin/Mir winner and a bunch of other great fights, could push 2mill.

I actually don't think he will draw....but he is a professional boxer and fighter. That is what Mixed Martial Arts is all about to me. People of all different skill sets getting in there and brawling. Even Walker is a black belt in taekwondo and Canseco a karate black belt.

This(Toney) is in no way a freakshow. Toney has mastered one martial art, to me he has as much claim to be in this sport as somebody who specialty is Jiu Jitsu or only good at muay thai. So it's cool that he entered MMA...i'm just surprised that UFC straight up signed him with a 0-0 record. He might do well though. Im not rooting against him.

I actually like these boxers making the move to MMA. Mayorga as well.

I could really see some boxers come in and wreck shop. And I mean half way legit guys, and not 45 year old fatties.

If he wins a fight or two it will only fuel the fire with boxers and boxing fans/commentators talking shit about MMA. I hope he gets subbed in the first minute of his first fight.

Who cares though?

MMA is rising fast enough that the fans don't need to be insecure about what fans of a sport clinging on to two draws who will never fight eachother think.

He's in his 40's and has had about over 70 professional fights. What a pointless signing.
