Simpson came back and won that fight, he barely won the 2nd, though it was close, and clearly won the 3rd, only quam u could have is giving Lawlor a 10-8 1st, which I don't think it was.

It was close. Lawlor took the first round, no doubt. The second round was back and forth, and Simpson took the third.

I have met Texas amateur and pro MMA judges
some of them dont even understand or like the sport

the way the scoring does need to change their is to much stuff for an inept judge to interpret
is that takedown worthy? is that submission worthy? you will meet an amateur judge in boxing who wont score a jab even if it is solid and rocks the kid, youll meet a judge who counts every takedown .

Freaking amazing fight. Reminded me of Quarry/Credeur a bit. I actually give it to Simpson. He was more active in the last two rounds and dominated the final frame. if it goes another round, he probably finishes Lawler. Great first round, but I'm more impressed with Simpson's ability to survive and recover. That guy is a beast.
