UFC 169: Barao vs Faber

Maybe Barao will move if Aldo moves up? The only reason Barao is in the Bantamweight division is because of Aldo.

I'm sure after he has no challenges left, Aldo moves up and someone calls him out he'll move up. He wont even think about it until Aldo is a permanent Lightweight.

They still might put him right into a title fight with this division. Need to get Moraes when his contract is up

Aldo is done with 145 nothing left there. Move up and stay at 155. Mendes vs Swanson rematch I guess for a vacant title

Edgar needs to actually win some fights. He doesn't fight BJ until April anyway

I thought the stoppage was a bit early, IMO it should have went on longer but the outcome was going to be the same. He was hurting Faber every time he touched him after the initial hit. From where I was sitting it was clear that Faber wasn't going to last.


If you watch the highlight gif after he was dropped he was hit 21 times and didn't move from the turtle position, guess Herb deemed it as not defending intelligently. I can see where he came from but still think it was a bit too early to stop it.

I predicted that fight wrong, thought it was toughest to call on the card and then got Umalatov and Makdessi incorrect. Not a bad night, especially since everyone seems to think Makdessi was robbed, I'm not really one of those people though

Well the guy he got knocked out by is a woman-beater if we're going down that path, so...

Being an inspector you only really get to see the fights your in the corner for. I saw some of the rest on TV but you have to go everywhere the fighter does once he wraps his hands. So I was with them all before the fight, and after to make sure they see the dr and do their drug tests. The only fights I got to see at the cage besides my 2 were the co and main event. I thought the main was stopped early but I can understand the stoppage. I don't think Faber would have survived the round anyway. Aldo was just dominate. Capone tore his cal and was brought back to the locker room on a stretcher.
