Dexter Season 8 Discussion (The Final Season)

The network that shows Dexter here use to show it months after it aired in America but because this is the last season they made a deal with Showtime so it airs only days after

Was not impressed. Deb was even more annoying than usual but looks like she'll come around.

I liked it and the last scene was awesome.

I'll end up getting into the season once they get shit started it just seemed like a really weak episode to start off the last season.

Lol the whole final season is revolving around how Deb ended up shooting and killing an innocent woman and has to live with that while her brother who she actually had feelings for is a killer and you characterize that as "she's being annoying"

Basically she is being Deb x1000 it was a little too much got tired of her whining.

Episode 2 was really good.

What a lame final episode. So disappointing

What did you expect/want to happen?

I said weeks ago that I was leaning towards Deb dying somehow but I knew Dexter wouldn't go on after that and I wasn't sure if they would end it with his suicide so I was kind of doubting that would happen. Then about halfway through last night I realize that's exactly the direction they were going starting with Harrison telling Dex that he loves Hannah which would make him comfortable enough to leave him with her. So after all the implausibilities that went down last night, I thought we were going to at least get a touching scene with Dex taking the plunge with Deb's body off his boat. But no, he just throws her in and then awkwardly drives into a hurricane which was okay could've been handled better. But then we need to show that somehow the man survived the damn hurricane and is now living in a cupboard where he evidently just sits at a tiny desk all day contemplating how he destroyed the lives of people he cared about?? Wtf

Him killing himself wouldn't be realistic because his survival instincts are too strong. I hated how he gave up everything especially since he's not going to kill anymore he really can't fuck up his sons life.

Regardless of his survival instincts driving a boat that gets destroyed into a hurricane and expecting us to believe that he survives is pretty dumb

In a previous episode they showed us that he had a lift raft on board. I think he jumped off before there was any damage to the boat and the whole thing was a set up.

That was a horrible ending. The fake one I read was way better.

I met Jennifer Carpenter at work today and helped her buy a toy. I froze like a little bitch cause I was so nervous lol she was laughing at me. I also forgot my phone so I could get a pic but I know she will be back cause the guy she is dating now lives in NC so I won't bitch out next time. Beautiful as hell in person.
