S.H.I.E.L.D tv show coming to ABC this fall

Rumors began to circulate last night that ABC would be officially ordering "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." to series today and they were right! The series has been picked up by the network for a full season and is expected to hit the airwaves this fall - no word on an episode count at this time. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that ABC will begin a "major marketing push" with the show this Sunday where a special look at the series will air before the season finale of "Once Upon a Time."

Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary.

Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Maybe but it is Marvel after all and they've got a large loyal fanbase. Add in the factor of Joss Whedon who's got a track record with decent tv shows.

Yeah that kinda looks meh. The show could be a great platform to launch Luke Cage but I doubt Marvel Studios would let those box office receipts slip out of their fingers.

I just don't trust ABC with a show like this but they are a Disney company so they get it. Someone like FX would handle it better.
