De Fries is awful. Should be a nice showcase, but when is the last time he fought? Could be some serious gassing going on if he doesn't get him out of there early

Yeah, the real Duffee would have used his vaunted all american wrestling and stifling top control...or stayed on the outside and picked apart a K-1 Champion.

and done what? Overeem is light years ahead of Duffee on the ground. Overeem has gotten so much praise for his striking that people forget that he's an exceptional grappler. He would have submitted Duffee and probably ended up in the better position off the scramble and smashed Duffee with ground and pound...we have zero reason to believe Duffee even has the tools to take the fight to the ground. Overeem had a massive edge in every facet. Nobody went into that fight thinking Duffee's best chance was grappling Reem. Everyone thought his best chance was rushing him and landing a big one. Duffee and his coaches came to the same conclusion.

Duffee is a striker...the fight was a complete mismatch. Move on.

Except Todd Duffee has attempted like 3 takedowns in his life including the one he attempted after being smacked silly in the ring with Overeem.

Besides. Even if his takedowns WERE on par with a guy who's background is exclusively boxing and only had like 6 fights before fighting overeem who's to say he'd have been able to if he wanted to? Overeem may be huge and top heavy but he's not Bob Sapp. Dude can stuff a takedown.
