Edit: Now Sarah McMann is injured (with an undisclosed injury) and pulls out of the next Strikeforce card. A card which is less than 4 weeks away and has two fights on it.
Not confirmed so I've listed it as a rumor, Meltzer has also confirmed he and Dana have been texting and Dana ."game changing news" for those of you who don't know, Rockhold isn't fighting on the November card and DC still doesn't have an opponent.

Honestly it's the best thing that can happen for the fighters on Strikeforce' roster at this point. From cards being canceled to guys being forced to take fights with opponents nobody wants to see them fight because there's nobody else on the roster.

about damn time, tho i was a huge fan of SF and thought it was great and the clear number 2 promotion, after the ZUFFA purchase it has been a shell of itself.

The heart of what was SF has been dead for a long time now, essentially when Zuffa bought it. Them finally closing it will end a chapter that has essentially been a blight to the sport. So much bad shit can hopefully be laid to rest and things can finally improve like so many had hoped they would at the time of the original purchase.

Remember that thread asking how everyone felt about the Zuffa buyout? LA and others thought everyone was crazy for even having mixed feelings about it. Remember the full confidence some had in Zuffa taking SF to the next level?
But this is still a rumor at this point. No announcement has been made.

I really don't know how they are going to be able to put together a respectable card for Nov.3rd if they don't close up shop before then. The big name LHWs they had are gone or unavailable. King Mo-Bellator, Mousasi-ACL injury, Feijao-suspended, Hendo-gone. It's not like they have any Champion that can step up. Melendez is hurt, Rockhold is hurt, I doubt Marquardt could be ready and able to make weight with less then a months notice, I seriously doubt they would rush Ronda into a fight. You have Cormier but no one on roster to fight him. I don't see how this event can go on. Definitely won't be able to put a card together worth my money.
