Just a note, I made this thread, split it from it's original thread. The first post just picks up where this discussion began. It was two different topics that only shared one similarity. Do not sue me.

Suicide is a controversial topic. Freak's opinion may be strong and painful for some to hear but I don't think he's saying anything wrong when he calls them cowards. Now making it personal is a little much. I think it's more of a selfish act.

My cousin suffered a deep depression for over a year because his girlfriend left him, he tried counselling and other various acts but his condition worsened. Near the end it just forced him to drink heavily and shut himself away from everyone, he was approaching 30 and his future looked bleak so he took his own life. His sister also had a really bad drug habbit so that didn't help matters. I don't view his act as cowardly but it was certainly unfair on his family.

Cowardly suicide would be the muslim terrorist attacks on 9/11.

Selfish suicide would be someone who feels sorry for themselves or feels constant pain rather it be physical or emotional.
