A light-heavyweight bout between former champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (32-10 MMA, 7-4 UFC) and recent promotional newcomer Glover Teixeira (18-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) has been added to UFC 153 in Brazil.

Rampage gets a chance to put a stop to a future title challenger on his way out.

Oh damn, fight is in Rio.

Rampage will win, and stay put in the UFC. Bet.

Where else is he going to fight? I dont see him going to places like SFL or another Japanese promotion, without names for him to fight. Soooo I do think if he wins, he stays with the UFC. If not I think he will go into a fake retirement, then come back to the UFC at a later date.

I think Rampage is done with the UFC. He may win this fight, cause I don't agree with that Killer is saying. But he won't fight for the UFC after this. There are other organizations that will pay Rampage, there are talented fighters out there for him to fight. Hell Bob Sapp get fucking 30K twice a month to roll up in a ball. Hell Rampage vs Fedor could happen. I imagine he could get a nice pay day for that if Fedor was up to coming out of retirement. What about Bellator and super fights? King Mo vs Rampage? I'd watch Rampage vs Jan Blachowicz. Rampage vs Gilbert Yvel? I'd watch that too.
Rampage vs Fedor, King Mo or Gilbert Yvel would all do just fine with me. So would a few others.

I don't see Rampage retiring. He talked about picking up TRT. I think he wants to fight outside the UFC, to prove a point.

Maybe, but this is his last great opponent or fight imo. He might fight an Eastmen or a Babalu or someone still though.

Rampage vs Fedor would be EPIC. Fedor fought Hendo so why not Rampage? I'd still be down for King Mo vs Rampage "Super Fight" in Bellator. Gilbert Yvel in Japan could be a fun fight. Doesn't have the name but DJ Linderman(fights at LHW and HW) would be a solid opponent. But not the same. Petruzelli maybe. The last 2 don't have the same interest level but I'm down for Rampage in Japan vs Fedor or Yvel or King Mo in Bellator.

Fedor and Lawal are outside possibilities I think, those would be great though. I have this feeling that it is gonna be more along the lines of Babalu, Mizuno, or Alexander. And Asia (SFL, M-1, ?Japan?) are very real possibilities.

You don't think Yvel is a legit possibility if the fight took place in Japan? He fougth K-1 and MMA in Japan and is a standup fighter who now fights at LHW so I figured it would be a better option then most. A show for the Japanese fans, something I think Rampage is down for.

Good fight. I can see Page winning.

I can see Page winning this, but I can see Glover winning it more betterer and in more ways. Page doesn't inspire high expectations from me in 2012. I hope he rekindles the Rampage of old for this one still and can make this a war of epic proportions.

I think this is the closest thing to a Rampage friendly matchup since his third fight with Wanderlei...maybe Jardine.

Not to say he'll win, but this is a guy thats gonna get in Rampage's face and Rampage should be able to fight his fight without worrying about somebody rasslin him or skipping around him kicking him every few seconds..but who knows. I saw the natural born killer turn into the natural born point grubber so Glover might just work outside kicks.

Last fight in the UFC. But I'm not understanding the issue? You think they should have gave him a less dangerous opponent? Is that why you want Thiago or Bonnar instead?
