Here's UFC.com's announcement:

UFC 147 now has a new five-round main event, as former middleweight champion Rich Franklin will face "The Axe Murderer" Wanderlei Silva in a 190-pound catchweight feature. The two first met at UFC 99 in Germany, where Franklin earned a decision win and both men took home Fight of the Night bonuses.

Silva was originally set to face fellow TUF Brasil coach Vitor Belfort in a rematch of their 1998 UFC Brazil bout, but a hand injury forced Belfort to withdraw from the event.

Damn, I hated when they fought before. Hate it even more now.

Catch weight fight at 190lbs for such a short notice for Rich. Now Cung is left hanging. Who should they match up Cung with now?

Rich takes this one again and wont need 3 rounds IMO. But dont ever count out Wand

Their first fight was pretty good. I think Wandy gets it this time around.

Cung Le vs Jorge Santiago seems about right. Show us who really should be cut.

Santiago is scheduled to fight just a week earlier. He could have been an easy fill in. He is also Brazilian so it just made sense. Mr.Silva fucking up the matchup making.

A strong match up with such short notice. I'm bummed I don't get to see Rich fight(in person). Glad he doesn't have to fight Cung. That is a pointless match up. Cung needs to fight guys not in the top 20.

He was cut premature, he won 1 fight since then. He was already training to fight around that time and is Brazilian, it was a miss by the UFC.

Maybe so, but still doesn't mean he didn't deserve to get cut. 1-4 with your only win being Justin Levens.

I think he was held to higher standard in that he was an established name within the sport and became such primarily outside the spectrum of the Zuffa umbrella. It presents a good opportunity to say see, UFC best in the world, and to also not pay up to warranted worth of keeping him around even though he is clearly probably better than a great deal of UFC middleweights.

I am the biggest Wand fan in the world, but he is not beating Rich especially in a five round fight. Frankin is shot, but Wandy is beyond shot.

Cung should fight Paul Harris.
