Undefeated MMA prospect Shanon Slack (3-0 MMA, 0-0 BFC) has signed with Bellator, MMAjunkie.com today confirmed.

The 2008 U.S. Olympic Greco-Roman wrestling team alternate will compete in the organization's featherweight division, where he'll meet fellow promotional newcomer Booker Arthur (2-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) next week at Bellator 69.

A Black House team member, Slack also currently can be seen as one of Dominick Cruz's assistant coaches on the current season of "The Ultimate Fighter: Live."

Bellator 69 takes place May 18 at L'Auberge du Lac Casino Resort in Lake Charles, La. The main card airs on MTV2, and the prelims (including Slack vs. Arthur) stream on Spike.com.

Slack, who wrestled at Old Dominion University, made his pro MMA debut in 2009, and after fighting once that year and then twice in 2009, he's 3-0 with two knockout wins. Over the past few years, he's trained with some of the biggest names in MMA.

"The Bellator featherweight division is tough as hell, and it was a huge reason why I decided to join Bellator," Slack stated. "The tournament format is something that really stood out to me as well. There aren't any politics involved, and like any fighter, I want my title shot. Any fighter can say they want to take things one fight at a time, but if you aren't in this to become a champion, then you're in the wrong sport."

Doesn't bother you that he is an assistant coach on the current TUF Live?

If it makes you feel any better, Jake Shields was also an assistant coach on TUF...but come to think of it, it's been all down hill since then.

It's been uphill for Daniel Cormier though.

My problem with TUF is all about the talent or lack thereof the past 5-6 seasons and the blatant fakeness involved with coach feuds..and of course Dana reading the same lines that he has every season since it's start and always trying to become a focus. I think coaches are free from the curse.

Fair enough. I know Hendo, Andy, BJ and Machida have all been on TUF in some form. So you can't hate too much. The last 2 seasons, I have watched the fights only.
