Anyone here have any experience with them?

My girlfriend has been trying to help me find ways to deal with OCD, and she told me there was a study that said psilocybin can help that.

Can anyone give me some insight, such as the pros and cons, etc.?

And OU, could you wait to spam me with old threads about shrooms, or noob posts til I get a legit answer from someone?

Ok, so i have read that it helps a lot with people who have depression. Not sure about ocd though. Haven't heard anything on that.

All i can really tell you is that it is natural, but it is a stomach poison which is what causes the trip. It is completely safe though.

The trip, depending on how much you eat and how good they are, varies in intensity and duration. But if you split up an 8th and eat it in 2 doses, you will trip hard for several hours.

The best way to describe the trip,

starts out pretty mild, you feel high and laugh alot, then things start to sound and look a little different. Then is starts to kick in and you feel very relaxed with an intense full body high, soon after you will probably start really tripping, where you will experience amazing colorful visuals and sensations. Yo literally go in and out of reality, in waves, one sec you are in a different universe amazed at the sights and sounds around you, the next you are back to reality.
I love it but it can be intense. You can't fear it. You have to embrace the trip and want it. And make sure you are in a good positive setting with good people.

I never had any of the pretty colors or really slipping in and our of reality. I did experience the first part of just relaxed and laughing my ass off at anything and everything. But I also experienced the more intense feeling which I personally describe as almost tweeking, although I have never "tweeked" lol. I enjoyed part of it, but overall I'm just not into a feeling that intense. But Oggy is right, do not fear it. But that is kind of like saying to someone high up "don't look down". Could easily have the reverse effect. Just try and stay calm and you will enjoy it more.

But I seriously doubt it will help your OCD, that just doesn't sound right to me. Maybe in extremely minor doses? Even then, I'm calling bullshit on that.

did you know that before plants were ever living on this planet, fungus grew everywhere even gigantic mushrooms that were taller than humans?

fungus is a resource with abundant uses for everyday life and health, and yet we barely utilize it or give enough effort into researching

How many different kind of shrooms are there? I'm sure there are some out there that have their medical uses. But the shrooms most commonly used for recreational use, I have a hard time buying. Even in small doses. Or I guess maybe you can use parts of the shroom? But taking it the way people do for recreation just doesn't seem to me like it would have any medical benefits. I would be shocked if it did.

I dont want the psychadelic LSD type trip. I just want the body high to relax, and hopefully do good things for my medical concerns, since I do not trust prescription medications.

Could I take less to experience less of a trip?

I have taken a very small does before and it was far less intense. Still has a feeling toward the end that I don't personally enjoy, but it is still very mild. But the laughing effect was still present. Just my personal experience.

there are over 100,000 types of fungi i believe, but don't hold me to that

i think when most people think mushrooms first they think portabella or ones that you eat, then magic mushrooms

so it has shown pretty good probability for medicinal purposes with depression, which effects a lot of people, and pharmaceutical drugs don't work for many of them.

I've done them 3 times.

First couple times were good fun, third time i was in agonizing pain, after i took a piss a sharp pain went from my thigh all the way to my stomach and it was like that all night...overall a horrible trip and the last time i fucked with them.

naa been coming down. went to my boy's house and me and 3 of my friends all ate some. I had well over an 8th because these shrooms weren't too visual, but the high was really awesome and relaxing. Was laughing soo hard. My friend has a creek in his back yard and we basically chilled there, it was a beautiful day too.
