Dana White- It should've been a 5 round fight, we blew it!

This just didn't pop up on the fight night. They knew going in that fight it would be a 3 rounder. If he would have fought for this sooner, then he wouldn't have to put on this act right now.

Don't think the number of rounds was gonna change the outcome if it takes 13 minutes for Sanchez to have a moment of competency.

I think Diego had flashes during the fight. Jake was clearly stunned for atleast 1 of those take downs. I think he was stunned for 2 of them. I think Jake showed nerves during the fight and even when Diego was dropped he really wasn't stunned.

It was impressive composure because he was in a bad spot in the end of the third.

Back to all main events being 5 rounders, the way it should be. Thanks for that last minute Diego

It's sad if that had anything to do with the UFC making the call to 5 round main events. Fans thought it was BS a month ago when this issue popped up. So now you are telling me Dana could have fixed this? Thanks for waiting until now, should have made the right call before.

I've always been for five rounders but there were still plenty of people bitching about how Fuel and FX main events wouldn't deserve them. As long as it changes I'm cool with it

Keep the big boys off the main event of free cards and we should be fine. Let them little guys put on a show.

I raised this same argument on another forum. If it were five rounds would Diego have done that in the third round or would he have waited until all the cards were down to act like he had a fire under his ass? Since he didn't go wild until there were only two minutes left in the fight, it stands to reason he wouldn't have done that in the third round of a five round fight, and even if he did Ellenberger wasn't exactly spent from that casual pace he was able to fight at for 13 minutes. Jake was able to throw a punch or a combo or a knee and counter a clinch attempt, then Diego would let him have 10-12 seconds to catch his breath before he came back in again.

I will give Diego this: he can still take a hell of a punch, and he can turn it up for two minutes to take a round he would have otherwise lost.

If it was five rounds his face would've look like absolute hamburger, he can take a punch, didn't like all the prefight woe is me bullshit, everyone has a hard life,with a lot less money and the abilities that he has
