Do you not remember that fight very clearly? He had Sonnen hurting pretty bad, Sonnen admitted as much post fight. I came away from that fight thinking if it was a 5 rounder then Nate would have won for sure. He did some nice damage during that fight.

That fight was very entertaining, didn't Nate almost sink in a guillotine ?

Actually I just rewatched it and was shocked how dominate Sonnen was. He was on top about 13min of the 15. Marquardt landed a sharp bow from the bottom that split Sonnen. I think it had to do with losing blood then getting hurt. Sonnen actually got out of 3 subs, with 2 being pretty deep. Nate ended on top at the end of the 3rd, but by then it was too late. 30-27 unanimous.

Nate made some of those shots count. It wasn't just the one elbow. There was busing around the big cut and a cut on his nose. He did more damage on Sonnen then most. Wasn't a fun fight for Sonnen by any means.

Marquardt did damage from the bottom well and landed 3 shots of GnP at the end, but Sonnen outstuck him 214 to 37.

Sonnen owned Nate. Yes Nate had a moment or two, but that was all Chael(in typical boring smothering fashion). I was very dissapointed in Nate after that fight.

How many Chael fights have you honestly been bored by? The dude is anything but LnP

Great top control and ground n pound is not boring. Couture, Tito, Chael, Hendo (at times), and Hughes are exciting when they smash guys from guard, half ground, side, mount, and crucifix. Chael is as active as they come. Always pressing forward and always throwing.
