Ed Soares in hot water?

Appearing on the television show, "UFC Sem Limites" on Brazilian channel Tela Nitida, Silva expressed his recent displeasure with his manager (via Fighters Only magazine):

"Unfortunately, my manager is American, he speaks Portuguese, but
he is American. But, I'm putting myself as a Brazilian.... Whether you
are in the UFC or not, when I'm outside my country I'm going to
represent my country well and I think everyone has to position himself
in the right way. His position was not good, was not cool, as a manager
he needed to have a more professional attitude. He was not professional
and I don't know why... I think it was not cool. But everyone knows
what's best, he is a grown man and he is going to deal with the backlash
of what he did."

Silva went on to to reveal that has no contract with Soares:

"First thing is that nobody can talk for me except myself. Second
is that I don't have a contract with anybody, except with Nine9 and my
sponsors, so anything can happen."

On Oct. 21, 2011, Silva responded on his Twitter account about the
photo above, which was apparently taken at the Hilton Hotel in Houston,
Texas, during the festivities of UFC 136.

His reaction:

"I do not like it at all this photo, I take to mean that only I can talk about my struggles, my plans and my career."

The less Ed I see the better. Hope me makes the clean break.

It looks a little weird, but for all I know they are plotting what each is gonna do so they can urge the biggest paycheck possible from the UFC...

Soares is going to manage Sonnen heading into the rematch. Just like Paul Bearer leaving Undertaker for Kane

I hope Ed leaves the MMA business. JDS already ditched him.

I think it is a very safe assumption that the Manager of the fighters filters out the translations. I no habla Brazilian(yes I know) so I obviously don't know for sure. But I'm comfortable with that assumption.

most of what he ever translates for Anderson is crap regarding the fight he just had. Unless Anderson is just talking mad shit and Soares is filtering it..i don't know any reason why Soares would give false translations.

Phrasing can often times get fighters in trouble. Something you don't have to worry about when your manager is the one filtering your translations. Half of the time if looks like Ed has his answer ready before Anderson even starts his. Again I'm pretty damn positive the words Anderson is saying are not the same as the ones coming out of Ed's mouth.

Thought that long before Chael said what everyone was already thinking

Needing a translator is different than utilizing one.

Am I really the only one that thinks Ed serves as a filter at times and we really don't get a sense of what the fighter is really saying sometimes? I'm very skeptical of Ed about this.

I don't, there are too many millions of people who could point out if he was saying something that was not more or less the message Anderson was trying to make. I say more or less because vocal translation of romantic and germanic is not an exact process.
