HBO to do The Dark Tower ?

Honestly the sensible thing to do would be to forget the movie trilogy and just make it a tv series. HBO is the most ideal network for a massive series like this, they've already proven they can handle it by adapting George R.R Martin's A Song Of Ice And Fire.

I know but it's close now, Ron Howard wants to do three movies with two tv series in between.

Ron Howard is as full of it as anyone else concerning this. They were talking about a tv adaptation of these books since the first one came out. Howard has been talking about doing an Arrested Development movie since a year after the show was canceled.

Improving the ending, I would've agreed with that if I hadn't went back last year and reread all the books and finally got the ending and what Roland's real goal is supposed to be when he gets to the Dark Tower, each time he has one thing more to get him to his goal of getting them all to the Tower. Just please don't fuck it up and make it close to what I have envisioned for a long time.

I've only just read the prologue graphic novel.

Ron Howard is terrible which kills my enthusiasm for this

1. The Gunslinger
2. The Drawing of the Three
3. The Wastelands
4. Wizard & Glass
5. Wolves of the Calla
6. Song of Susannah
7. The Darktower

And if you start reading them now unlike me who started them in the 7th grade in 1989, and waited till 04 for the last book, you can read straight through. If this actually does happen I will be amazed and hopefully enjoy it as much as the books.

100 pages done awesome, maybe the fact that the HBO exposure of his books is getting him more in the limelight, he is writing them a little quicker. I am one of those people that had been looking for a massive book series after the Darktower series, and had no clue about this at all.

I will believe the Darktower stuff when it starts moving forward, Ron Howard has done some good things, but for the Darktower the material needs to stand on its own, the characters are going to have to grab you, it shouldn't be about his vision, it should be how he brings the material to life.
