HDNet's 'Inside MMA' moves to live Monday-night time slot beginning tonight

HDNet's weekly MMA news show, "Inside MMA," makes a permanent move to a Monday time slot starting tonight.

Additionally, the long-running program now airs live.

Tonight's first Monday episode airs at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) with guests Phil Davis, Roy Nelson, Frank Mir and Matt Hume.

The show includes hosts Kenny Rice and Bas Rutten, as well as veteran reporter Ron Kruck.

"Inside MMA" has a been a longtime MMAjunkie.com partner and teams up for weekly poll questions.

The show recently celebrated a milestone. This past month, "Inside MMA'
celebrated its four-year anniversary with a milestone 200th episode on
Sept. 16.

"Inside MMA" has been one of MMA's longest-running television programs
and has welcomed hundreds of the top fighters, managers, promoters,
trainers, journalists and other celebrities to its panel. The show,
which again was nominated for "Best Media Outlet" in this year's World
MMA Awards, includes event recaps, on-site event coverage, regional-show
coverage, news segments and other features.

HDNet’s original MMA news program, Inside MMA, is set to make a move from its Friday night timeslot to Mondays beginning today, Oct. 17, HDNet announced on Monday morning.

Inside MMA now airs live on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on HDNet.

The first guests in the new timeslot include UFC light heavyweight Phil Davis and trainer Matt Hume in the studio, plus Frank Mir and Roy Nelson the conversation from Las Vegas.

"Inside MMA," AXS TV's weekly mixed martial arts news magazine-style show, is making a change in the new year.

The hourlong program is returning to its original home on Friday nights starting next week. "Inside MMA" and AXS TV on Wednesday announced the switch on the show's official Twitter account.

"Inside MMA" has been airing live on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET, but on Jan. 11 will return to a live format on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET.

The show, hosted by Kenny Rice and former fighter Bas Rutten, now has the potential to lead into many of AXS TV's Friday night live MMA events, which commonly start at 10 p.m. ET. Among the promotions that make their broadcast home on AXS TV are Legacy FC, XFC, MFC and BAMMA.

"Inside MMA" debuted on the cable network, then known as HDNet, in September 2007. The show regularly has in-studio guests in Los Angeles from all walks of the sport, including fighters, promoters, managers, officials and journalists.

Co-host Rutten currently is nominated for a World MMA Award in the category of "Personality of the Year" alongside Jon Anik, Bruce Buffer, Mauro Ranallo and Joe Rogan. Rutten in 2012 co-starred in Kevin James' MMA-themed film "Here Comes the Boom."
