My new roommate has me on a heavy metal kick

New metal bands i hadnt heard that he introduced me to.

All shall perish (pry my favorite of them)
Mushroomhead (2nd favorite so far, and a local band)
Chimara (another band that started local)
Cradle of Filth
Bleeding Through
Escape the fate
All that remains

Thats all i can remember so far

never been a big metal fan but its always good to find new stuff

Cradle of Filth is pretty good. All those bands are. I fuckin love All Shall Perish and Mushroomhead though.

Big metal fan but all those bands suck for the most part IMO. I do listen to Chimaira every now and again

All Shall Perish's drummer is fuckin amazing.

I haven't heard anything from Mushroomhead since they were arguing with Slipknot about who was wearing cooler masks, but I was never a fan

All Shall Perish actually has some potential there's just so many bands that I prefer that I don't listen to them all that much. Pretty sure they are on one of the smaller stages on the Rockstar tour that I'm seeing in like a month here

Yep. I was planning on going to rockstar mayhemfest in cincy til i found out hatebreed isnt playing there. Now im gonna go to the one in indy instead. Hatebreed and All Shall Perish are enough to get me to go out lol.

Mushroomhead's masks are cooler btw hahaha but theyre from cleveland and pkay good music, so ill always support em.

If you want a kickass song by all shall perish, listen to "wage slaves".

Im just breaking the ice on metal though. I already knew alotta bands...but getting introduced to alot of new stuff, and i love it. There is this kickass cd store about a mile from my apartment that sells nothing but heavy metal. They have everything.

starty stoppy modern pseudo tech riff...horrible. awful modern style metalcore growls..more crappy wannabe tech styled riffs. Oh man here comes a slow breakdown chuggy part. This shit is truly awful...and now I shut it off and turn on Morbid Angel "Rapture".

There was not one thing likable about that song.

Well, everyone has their own taste. I actually just got introduced to Morbid Angel today on the way to work lol ironic.

Those were just some i got introduced to. I already listened to bands like lamb of god, slayer, hatebreed, marilyn manson, children of bodom, Dimmu borgir, rob zombie, and quite a few others.

Lamb of God is part of the new style of metal which I can't stand, hatebreed is metalcore and not true metal at all, manson is nu-metal, children of bodom is an embarrassing power metal band, dimmu is the worst most commercial black metal of all time, and rob zombie isn't even close to metal.








So sad Slayer is grouped with these bands, as the best metal band of all time.
