"It really is 'THE' lineal title at stake in Werdum vs Overeem The first UFC Heavyweight title was lost lineally by Couture and found it’s way to Fedor’s PRIDE Heavyweight title.

The 2nd title was dissolved with Rutten’s retirement.

The 3rd UFC Heavyweight title was lost lineally by Couture, and then again by Barnett(who won it physically from Couture)…both of those found their way to Fedor’s PRIDE title.

The lineal PRIDE title became the WAMMA title when Fedor defeated Sylvia.

Meanwhile, Nelson won the IFL Heavyweight title and defended it twice before losing it lineally to Arlovski, who then lost it to Fedor, unifying it with Fedor’s WAMMA title.

Antonio Silva won EliteXC’s vacant Heavyweight title, and never lost it lineally until he was beaten by Werdum.

Werdum then defeated Fedor and won his WAMMA title.

So yeah, in a lineal sense, the first UFC Heavyweight title, the 3rd UFC Heavyweight title(on 2 different occasions), the PRIDE Heavyweight title, the WAMMA Heavyweight title, the IFL Heavyweight title, and the EliteXC Heavyweight title are all on the line and ready to be unified with the lineal StrikeForce Heavyweight title when Alistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum face off.

That will ALL then be held under the banner of the StrikeForce Heavyweight Grand Prix title."

Well since it is fairly well known that Alexander the Great was practically unstoppable in Pankration matches and is thought to have never lost, plus he died in his early 30s...I think the lineal title died with him.
