It's tough to do Ratio by % because some events are skipped which would be harder, like a bunch of the guys went 8-0 on SF, but the UFC's seperated everyone out a bit. It's not bad, but you'd have to figure out a way for amount of events and % to be taken into account. I'm way to competitive....

Time will sort it out, the season is young. will probably do a qualifying amount soon, something like must have a total of 60% of fights picked or something

Thats a good idea GDP but I would make it like 80 or 85 percent of fights picked.

Like what both you gus are thinking, I think events picked would be the way to go, and if you consider like 50 events for the year total we'd do, 90% and missing 5 seems reasonable, if you miss more and want to be included, you have to except like the average score for said event or some shit.

Most of the guys that are regulars dont miss to many events anyways.

How about you have to be in the top 75% of pickers in total fights picked. What I mean to say is, you could rank everybody by the number of picks they've made, and then only the top 3/4 would be accepted. Or you could do a different percentage of course, but you definitely don't want it to be too harsh on people who can't make every event. You do, however, want to still make it mean something to have a great pick percentage.

Also, I should be a 4x champ after last night. It only had me at 2x champ, when it should've been 3.

I think going by events picked is the way to go, not like you want fights skipped at events or anything. The guys who do this all check the board at least once a week, easy to make event picks, if SF was picked then just as easy to pick UFC. There's like 50 events about we'll do this year, miss 5 and 90% is easy or based it on best 90% of events picked whatever.

Doesn't ultimately matter, we'll figure something out over tme.

I'm not seeing much point to the % rankings if you guys want it to be that exclusive. Is it about quantity or quality? There is no need for redundancy if it's the number of picks trumps the ability to not pick wrong.

Quantity and quality, not really seeing it as exclusive, just makes more sense. For instance a bunch of guys went 8-0 through the SF events, then the UFC seperated everyone, everyone comes on here often enough to check an event. If we want ability to not pick wrong, I'll selectively pick and be like 100-8, not really fun though. +/- while not perfect did give indication of picking well and amount of events picked.

I know I defended it, but we decided that it would be more informative if you just added another notch on your championship total. That's why LA is an 8x champ. He didn't win it 8 seperate times, he won it 3 times with a bunch of defenses in there.

well as a new guy I sure don't know how you total up the fights but when I beat la he won't have to worry about being a 9x champ! just talkin shit chorky your next!

That's why you don't pick against the Spider. It's a rule. Never pick against GSP or Anderson. Then when they fight each other, you piss yourself in excitement.
