| All everyone said for the past year was how bad Machida would whoop Rampages ass
didnt even cmoe close to doing that close fight? yes. But Machida never dominated the stand up like most thought he would
everytime Machida would get going Rampage would use some of that brute strength to knock Lloyoto back
Admit it yall were almost about to crazy when Rampage went for the slam
my questino is do yall think Lloyoto was just gun shy after getting knocked out by a lucky punch (wink LA) or did Rampage have more left in the tank than we previously thought? or was Machida overhyped?
WHAT HAPPENED
in your opinion _________________ 1X Ninjas Place Boxing GOR Champ (4 defenses) Ninja Place GP runner up (ya i lost to the illustrious LA)

| Shogun happened. Machida just got brutally knocked out and was wary to fully engage a fighter with the kind of power Rampage brings in both hands. _________________ |

| What Ludo said. Machida had never lost and that changes some people a lot. Look at how Rashad fights now compared to before the Machida fight. |

| I think Machida was overhyped. He's a great fighter, but he's not god. His elusive style is difficult to deal with, but not impossible.
6 months ago Machida would not have been a whirling dervish of kicks and punches. He would fight the same way he always fights: keeping the distance and picking his shots. The problem with this style is that if you don't finish your opponent, there's a good chance your opponent will beat you via decision because you lose rounds based on lack of aggression or whatever it may be. |

| He hadn't lost a round in the UFC prior to the first Shogun fight. He was plenty aggressive while also being elusive prior to this fight. The problem is that in the first round Rampage started to time those kicks and rush in guns a blazing and Machida stopped throwing kicks like that. Kicks being a huge part of his game forced him to sit back and wait for the rest of the fight to avoid getting Zulu'd. _________________ |

| Well six months ago nobody knew Machida could even be pressured and hit the way Shogun did to win the belt. _________________ |

| Machida did whoop his ass. Rampage won two rounds in which both fighters hardly did anything at all.
Ask Rampage himself, he'll tell you.
Machida in round 3 is pretty much what everybody expected. Machida knows the game though, he definetly shoulders most of the blame for his sloppy work in the first 2 rounds...but he looked like Dragon in round 3 so none of this Shogun stole his soul garbage. _________________ |
